Abstract

Abstract: The colonization process of São Paulo consisted of a continuous expansion movement of the demographic and economic frontier towards the West. Since the 16th century, the land has been occupied legally or informally. This paper aims to discuss the processes of incorporation of these lands in the economy of sugar cane and coffee. (AU)
