Abstract

Three new species from Ecuador are described: America spinosa and America tuberevexa, from Napo Province, and Elytrimitatrix (G.) franki, from Loja Province. America biplagiata (Villiers, 1958), a species known only from the holotype, is redescribed based on males and females. The unknown male of Paracometes solangeae Botero \& Almeida, 2019 is described and illustrated by the first time. Distenia (D.) normae Botero \& Almeida, 2019 is proposed as a junior synonym of America wappesi Santos-Silva \& Tavakilian, 2009. Moreover, the known geographical distributions of 10 species of Disteniidae are expanded. (AU)
