Abstract

Abstract This article aims to critically analyse the specific conditions of emergence, existence, and action of climate denialism in Brazil. Methodologically, the appearance of climate denialism is captured from problems that placed it as an element of a “dispositif” of an essentially strategic nature. In our analyses, we highlight the strategic role of climate denial in the conservative-liberal worldview and its action in impeding environmental governmentalization processes in Brazil. (AU)
