Abstract

Applications with traditional voltage source inverters (VSIs) usually demand low THD output voltage regardless the load. The proportional-resonant (PR) controller have been used instead of a classical proportional integral-derivative (PID) controller to track a sinusoidal reference waveform and improve the dynamical response of a specific VSI. Once the interest of knowing the stabilizing set to the controllers has increased, in this paper it is presented, based on Routh-Hurwitz criterion, the stabilizing set of a system with a PR and a three-phase VSI with a LCL filter. Moreover, the inverter circuitry model and the set of PR-controller gains were validated based on Matlab and PSIM simulation results. (AU)
