Abstract

This is a short communication on the stomach and gut contents of five individuals of Gracilinanus microtarsus collected in an Atlantic Rainforest fragment in southeastern Brazil. The analyzis of the contents samples showed that G. microtarsus feeds on insects, spiders, and snails, though insects are the most frequent food resource consumed. This finding indicates that G. microtarsus is primarily insectivorus. (AU)
