Abstract

Cr and its dilute alloys exhibit intriguing magnetic properties resulting from their itinerant antiferromagnetic state due to spin density wave (SDW). This study successfully established the magnetic phase diagram for spin-flip transition of CrNb alloys, in the compositional range represented by Cr(x)Nb(1-x )with 0 <= xat% <= 3.5. The findings revealed a parabolic dependence between Nb concentration and the transition temperature T-SF. It is noteworthy that the critical temperature ratio T (SF)/T-N falls within the range predicted by the Varelogiannis model, conclusively supporting the model's applicability of this model to itinerant antiferromagnetic SDW systems in general and Cr alloys in particular.
