Abstract

This paper proposes a mixed-integer non-linear programming model (MINLP) for the optimal coordinated operation of charging stations with vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology to increase the hosting capacity of a distribution network. The analysis mechanism considers voltage violations and minimum state of charge, while the objective function searches to minimize technical losses on the entire circuit. The results of studies using one test system certify the benefits of the proposed strategy in using V2G to increase the hosting capacity of distribution networks. (AU)
