Abstract

TThis article explores the performance of the individual from an interdisciplinary perspective. Taking into account the anthropological notion of “self ” and its potential importance to psychology, this paper investigates the role of the social and cultural dimensions in the construction of the psychological self, which is considered by psychoanalysis as multiple and complex.
