Abstract

The current proposal is based on the proteomic and metabolomics study of the cervicovaginal content in response to different vaginal microbiome composition in reproductive-aged Brazilian women. Also, considering the role of the microbiome in the Human Papilomavirus (HPV) infection clearance the aim of this study is to determine the changes in proteins and metabolites associated with different microbiome composition and HPV infection. This proposal aims to obtain data that will guide the development of a further thematic conjoint UNSW-UNESP project. The collaboration between the two groups started in 2015 and the current proposal will consolidate and strengthen this partnership. The exchange of academic partners and PhD students will allow the incorporation of state-of-the-art biotechnology techniques. (AU)
