MICRONIZED SOYBEAN AND EXOGENOUS LIPASE IN THE DIET OF WEANED PIGLETS

Abstract

The weaning is a phase with a huge stress for piglets, the searching for ingredients that may be included in the diet of weaned piglets that stimulating consumption, improving diets digestibility and reducing the level of eating disorders in the post-weaning period. Despite soybean is an economic viable option, brings many factors that make it difficult to use in nature. In this context the micronized soy that is thermally processing and reduced to small particle, disable the antinutritional factors of soybean moreover increases the solubility and the assimilation of its nutrients. With focus on evaluate the effect of inclusion of lipase enzyme in the diet of weaned piglets; an experiment will carried out at the Swine Sector of Institute Animal Science. Will be test two levels of lipase inclusion (0 or 150g/t) in the diets with soybean and micronized soybean. The experiments will happen in two periods: Period 1 - initial stage performance test, that will use 72 piglet with homogenous weight, age of 21 days, and commercial linage, disturbing in random blocks (define by initial weight and sex), with four treatment, nine repetition (blocks) by treatment and two animals for experimental unit. Will be evaluate gain of weight, feed intake, feed conversation, diarrhea index and economic viability. Period 2 - digestibility test, with one animal in cage, with will use 24 metabolic cage, with one animal by cage, four treatments and 6 repetition, using the method of total collection of feces and urine and testing the same diets of Period 1. The data will analyzed by the software MIXED from SAS. (AU)
