Abstract

This project aims to establish a common protocol for joint studies of the prevalence and incidence of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease among agricultural workers in Florida, USA, and São Paulo, Brazil. These joint studies will require extensive collaboration between teams at Emory University and the University of São Paulo (USP) as well as significant financial support. In this FAPESP Sprint grant we propose a joint planning effort between the teams from these two institutions, including exchange visits. The primary intended outcome of this grant is the development of grant proposals to be submitted to study renal health in agricultural workers in both. (AU)
