Abstract

The Scientific Library offers all its users the necessary training and support to carry out research assisting the search of articles, as well as support in the search of information in physical document. Glimpsed to attend the members of the Pio XII Foundation, the information unit has a space that can accommodate up to 30 people simultaneously. Although they are able to serve the more than three thousand employees of the complex, the largest users are linked to the academic context, being medical residents and the multiprofessional team, professionals in improvement; graduate students of stricto and lacto-senso; Fellows and, at undergraduate level, scientific initiation. Understood as a space for knowledge acquisition, the information unit requires planning in terms of its physical space, seeking to add value to the training and expanding the possibilities of individual studies through the increase in the number of bays and, not least, it is still necessary to meet the needs of those with special needs who are already assisted by the Scientific Library. It is believed that the value received will potentiate scientific productions by expanding the possibilities of studying in the library space, and it will be possible to plan the training by subtracting concerns about interferences from external noise.
