Utilization of Institucional Over Head for Support the Research in FZEA


The Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering is structured in five departments, the Department of Zootechnics (ZAZ), the Department of Basic Sciences (ZAB), the Department of Food Engineering (ZEA) and the Department of Veterinary Medicine (ZMV) in these departments are located several teaching and research laboratories, classrooms, administration and teaching rooms, some of which in buildings still under construction. in indexed journals, has increased annually, with growth of approximately 181% between 2005 and 2014. Considering only the publications in international journals, between 2005 and 2014 this increase is about 290%. a drop in the number of national articles, but the number of international publications remained stable from 2014 to 2016. This dynamism of the faculty of FZEA had as a consequence, the continuous growth of the budget relative to the institutional technical reserve. In 2012, resources made available were almost 13 times greater than the resources of 2008 (Figure 9). In 2016, resources were almost 3 times greater than the resources of the previous year, 2015. The decrease in the value of the Technical Reserve in 2013, in 2014, in 2015 and in 2017 is due to normal variations in the research universe. It is necessary, therefore, to continue guaranteeing to the teachers who are developing these proposals, good infrastructure conditions. Thus, the general objective of this project will be the acquisition of equipment and services demanded by research groups and laboratories, characterized as research infrastructure. The specific objectives are acquisition of laboratory equipment; maintenance of laboratory equipment. (AU)
