Abstract

The objective of the present project is to synthesize and characterize the physical properties of electro-ceramic materials for application in electronic devices. The proposed materials are based on ferroelectric and ferroelectric systems obtained through sintering processes from conventionally processed ceramic powders and polymeric precursors chemical method (modified Pechini´s method). The application of different synthesis procedures aims the optimization the physical parameters of the most relevant properties, in order to obtain highly dense systems with enhanced response for devices applications (energy storage). The analyses of the obtained results, related to the determination of the physical properties of the proposed materials will be conducted in such a way that they can be inserted within the current theories reported in the literature. When possible, new interpretations leading to the understanding of the observed phenomena will be proposed. From these results, a critical evaluation of the studied materials viewing their insertion in practical applications will be carried out. On the other hand, with the execution of the present project a new research topic could be consolidated, in particular that one related to the study of ferroelectric/antiferroelectric ceramic systems with application in high efficiency storage devices. This will noticeably contribute for the development of commercially capable new electro-electronic devices devoted for the environmental preservation. (AU)
