Abstract

Andrios Consulting and Technical-Scientific Training in Environmental Microbiology and Solos is a company linked to ESAQTEC, a Technology-Based Business Incubator of ESALQ - USP. It is installed in the Technological Park of Piracicaba. The microbial functionality in different environments in a central them in science, but little known but quite promising in the development of innovative strategies for the promotion of plant development and health. The protection of plants against biotic and abiotic stresses can be listed as the main microbial activities related to this process. However, the use of these microbial functions is still limited used, by the activity of specific organisms, able to perform a particular function. This project aims at this theme, applying a more elaborated model of microbiota functioning, in order to develop bioinoculants composed of synthetic microbial communities (SynCom), which would make it more functional distinct environmental conditions. We propose to generate a microbial collection from the rhizosphere samples of cultivated plants (maize and soybean) in two different soils (from Atlantic Rainforest and from a crop land), made of microbes able to protect plants against hydric stress. Later, the inoculation of the synthetic community will be validated as more functional than the inoculation of single species. It is expected to advance in the use of microbiology in agriculture, giving rise to an innovative methodology for the development of bioinoculants and commercial products, with the capacity to take agriculture to a new level of productivity and sustainability.
