Abstract

The world market by biological products have registered growth rate five times higher than the pesticides industry. According to data consolidated by CPL Business Consultants, from 2011 to 2014, the world market for these products had an average annual growth of 15.3%. The trend is not different in Brazil, where the perception is that sales of this sector grow between 15% and 20% in the next few years (ABCBio, 2016). Therefore, the supply of efficient and registered products should be readily available for use by farmers. Currently, although, there are a few products on the market that are effectively formulated, there is no product that contains protection against UV radiation, limiting the times of use and application on farm. So, the objectives of this projetc are: 1) To evaluate the compatibility of different UV-A and UV-B protectors to conidia of the fungi Beauveria bassiana, Isaria fumosorosea, Metarhizium anisopliae and Trichoderma harzianum currently available at the Koppert portfolio; 2) protection offered by products to conidia of the fungi present in the current formulations of the company, through the exposure of the same to the radiation emitted in simulator equipment, 3) to evaluate the pathogenicity of the entomopathogenic fungi present in the new products containing the protectors, on Diatraea saccharalis; 4) to evaluate the action of the antagonistic fungus Trichoderma harzianum present in new products containing the protectors to the phytopathogens Fusarium oxysporum, F. verticillioides and Rhizoctonia solani and 5) present a differentiated product in the market of biologicals in Brazil.
