Abstract

Numerous authors have highlighted that companies that do not collaborate with external partners tend not to succeed in technological markets. Successful Open Innovation (OI) processes employs correct information, methodologies and IT platforms. One of OI's first activities involves market analysis of technologies and companies with potential for new business generation. In many cases, these initial activities are denominated as Intelligence. This project proposes to research and evaluate the technical and commercial potential for the development of a digital platform of technological and competitive intelligence for organizations, companies and research institutions dedicated to activities of open innovation and new business. The research objective of the project will involve, the development of a mathematical model to establish the index of convergence between companies and institutions based on their technologies and economic activities in order to identify those (companies and / or institutions) with higher level of similarity between them. This mathematical model will be the basis for the development of the BackEnd module of a web platform which, based on autonomous and intelligent algorithms, will perform the treatment of public data from scientific, industrial and market databases in order to centralize and facilitate access to specialized information and its correlations between knowledge-intensive sectors in the country.
