Abstract

The Institutional Technical Reserve of 2017 will be applied to the purchase of cages, mini-isolators, ventilated racks and exchange module for mice and rats that will be used in the InCor Vivarium. One of the facilities of the cages and accessories is to be able to move all the equipment, because they are equipped and castors which will greatly facilitate the process of cleaning the environment.Another investment will be the purchase of three ultra-low temperature vertical freezers (temperature range: -50 ° C to -86 ° C), which will be used in InCor's Biobank. Biobanks are long-term reservoirs whose stored materials can be used for future research projects and are under the responsibility of the institution and are responsible for storing and managing samples of various types of human materials: tissues, blood, genetic material, serum, RNA, DNA, tumor cells and biological tissues.
