Abstract

Committed to the development of didactic actions in favor of differences and in tune with the demands of contemporary society, the cultural curriculum of Physical Education seeks inspiration in post-critical theories to subvert the component's tradition, enhance the community's cultural repertoire and problematize the social markers that permeate bodily practices. Paradoxically, this conception was present in the curricular documents published by the São Paulo Municipal Department of Education in 2017 and 2019. It is surprising that a proposal that is assumed to be hegemonic is incorporated into the official discourse. As part of this curricular policy, several training actions based on the theoretical and methodological assumptions that support the proposal started to be offered in 2018, continued in 2019 and continued in early 2020. Although the literature on the subject provides several works on the cultural perspective of Physical Education carried out by teachers sympathetic to the proposal, nothing is known about its appropriation when incorporated into the official discourse. Therefore, this study aims to understand the ways in which Physical Education teachers who participated in the training courses offered by SME-SP signify the cultural curriculum perspective and translate it into the context of practice. For this, narrative interviews will be conducted with participants of the training courses in order to produce reports of the experiences with the proposal. Post-structuralism and discourse theory will be mobilized when analyzing these materials. With this study, it is expected to contribute to the accumulation of knowledge about curriculum policy and the cultural perspective of Physical Education. (AU)
