Abstract

This project relies on the synthesis of molecular systems from transition and lanthanide metal ions associated with ligands containing photoreactive spacers, redox-active spacers, or ligands based on distinct coordination sites with N- and/or O-donors, that allow the development of homo- heterometallic systems. The use of transition and lanthanide metal ions are important for magnetic and luminescent properties in the proposed systems. Moreover, the ligands make room for the preparation of photomagnetic and redox-active molecular systems with distinct dimensionalities, that could lead to the formation of Metalorganic Frameworks with potential on the adsorption of other molecules. The combination of these factors highly contributes to the development of multifunctional molecular materials. (AU)
