Abstract
Serverless is a new paradigm for cloud computing. In this paradigm, users only implement the application core without worrying about the infrastructure. Role processing occurs on servers with x86_x64 CPUs using virtualization. This approach is not efficient, it generates processing delays and overloads resources, increasing the operational cost. This work proposes a Serverless system with hardware offloading that processes protocol-independent packets through C and eBPF programs. To improve system performance, we will perform hardware optimizations and integrate with OpenFaaS. The objective is for the system to operate at line rate. The prototypes of this system will be implemented on the NetFPGA SUME and Toffino platforms to be transformed into patents and technological products. The proposed project is based on developing research for a new networked system to improve the performance of cloud computing. (AU)
