RTI 2020: Annual Application Plan of Technical Reserve for Institutional Infrastructure for research

In line with the guidelines established by FAPESP and with the objective of strategically strengthening UNIFESP's Research activities, this application plan aims to recover, consolidate and expand the infrastructure for research on the various Campi of the University, with emphasis on maintaining and expanding shared areas, among which the strategic multi-user laboratories for institutional research stand out. We emphasize that the definition of priorities was carried out jointly with the Coordinators of the Post-Graduate and Research Chambers of Unifesp (Baixada Santista, Diadema, Guarulhos, Osasco, São José dos Campos and São Paulo). The mapping of needs aimed at improving the collective research infrastructure of Unifesp seeks to prioritize investments in multi and interdisciplinary projects, always focusing on quality and potential for technological innovation, internationalization and application of results to society. In the current context of Unifesp, we have the development of several research projects with transversal and converging characteristics, with the collaboration of researchers, students and technicians. In this way, multi-user research spaces must always be in conditions suitable for their full functioning. However, difficulties and bottlenecks in conducting research are commonly observed and the use of RTI's resources may help to remedy these problems. In recent years, the use of RTI to support the collective research infrastructure of UNIFESP has been fundamental for the consolidation of several research laboratories and buildings, as well as for the improvement of the quality of the vivariums, for the acquisition of equipment and materials for the platforms in common use, essential for the consolidation of multi-user laboratories.
