Abstract

Differences in differences (DID) is one of the most widely used methods in Economics, and in Social Sciences in general. Although there are many inference methods for DID, the properties of each method depend crucially on the characteristics of the specific empirical application. This project aims at advancing the knowledge about how to draw inference in DID models both by proposing new methods that can be used in settings in which no reliable method is available, and by proposing a way to assess whether specific inference methods are reliable in specific empirical applications.
