Adequacy of the research area of the Center for Cell-based Therapy - Fiscal Year 2020

Abstract

The Regional Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto is a health care, education, and research organ linked to the Ribeirão Preto Medical School. It hosts the CTC- Center for Cell-based Therapy - CEPID - FAPESP and INCTC - National Institute of Science and Technology on Stem Cells and Cell Therapy CNPQ/FAPESP. The Regional Blood Center has 11.804 m2 of constructed area, of which 5.217 m2 are designed to research activities. This area includes research laboratories, areas dedicated to educational activities (House of Science, MuLEC, Hemocentro TV, classrooms) and administrative areas. This project aims to appropriate the Laboratory of Experimental Studies on Animals (LEEA) of the Center for Cell-based Therapy-CTC/CEPID/FAPESP, hosted in the Regional Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto (HCFMRP-USP) through the acquisition of a small animal and cell X-ray irradiator for scientific research purposes.
