Abstract

Science is the fundamental basis of the knowledge society and the engine of economic, social and technological progress. Each nation outlines its future based on investment in Science, Technology and training of highly qualified human resources in all areas of knowledge. A modern and innovative society has its foundation in Science, strategically aligned with the Millennium Goals for Sustainable Development (SDG) of the United Nations (UN). In this context, ACIESP and FAPESP are organizing a series of scientific activities on the occasion of the celebration of FAPESP's 60th Anniversary, in 2022. The goal is to promote a discussion on the state of the art of science in São Paulo in harmony with Brazil and the world, as well as the future perception of areas, in order to contribute to the scientific and technological development of the country.
