Synthesis and Characterization of Ferroelectric Thin Films and Ceramics

Abstract

[...] The main objective is to promote a quality substantial improvement on the understanding of these films and ceramics, when compared with former research developed by the group and with the literature. This proposal aims to the obtation of ferroelectric thin films and ceramics through chemical processes, in the amorphous or crystalline form and that exhibit ferroelectric, dielectric, piezoelectric, electrooptic properties for application in devices in the microelectronic such as: capacitors, actuators, FERAM and DRAM memories, microactuators, displays, modulators, sensors etc. [...] The main goal of this project, therefore, is to obtain ferroelectric and thin films through the use of polymeric precursors, with properties equal or superior to that obtained by the methods reported in the literature (AU)
