Abstract

The proposed bilateral project is focused on enhancing the collaboration between the two groups from the University of São Paulo and from Universite Libre de Bruxelles by having a common scientific goal to help in revealing the sources of Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays. The project is aimed at finding the possible contribution of local sources to the total flux of particles that reach the Earth with energies larger than 10^19 eV. A second part of the project is to predict the possible advancements that future Earth-based Observatories might bring. The collaboration is planned via bilateral visits and by organizing two workshops related to the scientific objectives of the project. (AU)
