Abstract
Recent developments in the analytic modelling of polar and retrograde asteroids in resonance with the giant planets orbital frequencies allowed the identification of the first examples of these configurations in the solar system. In this project we will analyze the possibility of occurance of these type of resonances between extrasolar planets and also between satellites. We will also study the secular effects on polar and retrograde orbits that are caused by the non-spherical format of the central body in the case of satellites, and by additional planets in the case of planets, asteroids or comets.
