Abstract
Although diversity allows multiple approaches in their interface with the Administration, academic, journalistic and business publications in the area have prioritized the dissemination of studies on two fronts that deal with: i) financial increments of inclusive practices to organizations; and, ii) mappings of the underrepresentation of minority groups in these spaces. Although these studies bring counterintuitive results, the debate on diversity in the Administration is limited to the prevalence of certain approaches, which shows how far we have to advance in the agenda. To contribute to this advance, the main objective of this project is to investigate how the diversity in debate ressonates in the formation of new generations of administrators. The project gathers an empirical base formed by 286 reflective diaries written by undergraduate students in Business Administration, after attending an elective in diversity. The collection was carried out in the city of São Paulo, between 2016 and 2022, within one of the main Business Schools in Latin America. This project aims to continue the other phases of the research to also address the specific objectives of: i) broadening the debate on interfaces of diversity in Administration; ii) generate theoretical and practical insights on education for diversity in the area; and, iii) improve the production of scientific texts for dissemination in high-impact journals. It is hoped that this project, by echoing the voices of students whose diversity was a value incorporated in their training, expands the debate on diversity in Administration, by proposing a new strand of studies in the field that suggests education for diversity, as an alternative approach to understanding the effects of inclusive practices in organizations and promoting the fight, more incisively, the underrepresentation of minority groups in these spaces.
