Abstract

This project has the following specific objectives: 1) the emergency organization of the Group and Document levels of the already cleaned and stored section of the musicographic collection (Section A) of the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory of São Paulo (accumulated since its foundation in 1906, declared as public utility in 2006, and incorporated into the estate of the São Paulo Municipal Theater Foundation - FTMSP in 2011), arranged in 306 file boxes and 66 packages, after a project developed at the São Paulo Cultural Center; 2) its emergency coding by the topographic method; 3) inventory of documents and noted musical compositions, based on the reference works on this subject; 4) research about the archival history of this musicographic collection (by consulting historical documents, newspapers, bibliography and the musicographic items of this collection); 5) patrimonial evaluation of its different musical series and repertoires, by the specialists who make up the project team, to understand the increase of São Paulo and Brazilian musicographic heritage after the availability to public research of Section A of the musicographic collection of the Dramatic and Musical Conservatory of São Paulo. This work will permit the social, artistic, and academic impact of this collection, enabling public presentations, recordings, research projects, publications, videos and documentaries, as well as the most diverse didactic and cultural actions by all interested people and institutions. The results of this project will allow its future continuity in the not yet processed section of the same collection (Section B), provisionally arranged in 328 large-format boxes and in 198 packages of different measures, still under negotiation for future treatment. For the planned actions, an agreement between UNESP, FTMSP and Sustenidos Social Organization of Culture is being processed, and its Collection and Research Coordination gave the consent for this Grant.
