Abstract

In this research project, it is intended to develop a framework, simple and intuitive to use, for studies and mapping simulations of stream applications (video/images), but not only, in many-core architectures, through the use of intelligent systems, in particular multiobjective GAs, for automatic generation of these maps, so that they can be executed concurrently, be fault tolerant, efficient, and high performing in a real-world problem scenario, if required. Such applications will be represented through graphs containing distributed tasks. So, each node of a given graph will be mapped to a processing node of a virtual architecture to be generated by the framework, in which each of its processors will be responsible for executing instructions allocated to them, according to a given task. The processing elements will be linked to other nodes through a rectangular arrangement (mesh architecture), also virtual, containing routing elements interconnected in a network (NOC) with XY strategy.
