Abstract

InCor is a high-complexity public university hospital, specializing in cardiology, pulmonology and cardiac and thoracic surgery. The largest cardiology science center in Latin America stands out as a major research and teaching center whose mission is to promote actions for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, techniques and technologies in its specialty in the diagnosis for the cure of cardiopulmonary diseases and, consequently, the population well-being.lnCor was elected the best specialized hospital in Latin America, according to the prestigious US magazine Newsweek, and is among the 38 best hospitals in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery in the world. It has 10% of its built area (81,500 m2 in three buildings), dedicated exclusively to research.At lnCor, research is one of the vertices of the virtuous cycle in which cutting-edge knowledge adds value to service and, in a growing wave, qualifies teaching.In addition to clinical and basic applied research, InCor develops new equipment, medicines, diagnoses, therapies and surgical procedures.The dissemination of InCor's scientific expertise reached audiences around the world, through the participation of its experts in national and international scientific events, including classes and symposia.As a result of all their efforts, InCor researchers were awarded several awards in Brazil, including those awarded by the Conrado Wessel Foundation in Medicine and by the Péter Murányi Foundation in Scientific and Technological Development.lnCor's research and development policy is governed by strict ethical and normative criteria, established by Brazilian regulatory agencies and guided by consensus of the main scientific entities of international repercussion.As RTI will acquire the annual license of the WebPAX System software; Planview Enterprise Portfolio Management software annual subscription license; computers for data entry and analysis, purchase of tickets and daily allowances for the Research Lectures Series Program aiming at the development of symposia aimed at the discussion and development of clinical research in Brazil.
