Abstract

The Therapeutic Training in Afrocentric Psychology is our pivotal infoproduct in 2022, and it was designed based on the validation of 3 prototypes in 2021. They are graduate online training of 50 and 80 hours on Psychology, ethnic-racial relations and anti-racism, taught by a post-doctoral researcher on the subject, with fortnightly synchronic meetings. There are few graduations in Psychology that offered a discipline on ethnic-racial relations and there were few, short and discontinuous online courses (15) on the subject in Psychology. Furthermore, our service is innovative in several aspects valued by our clients: 1) it offers an unprecedented curriculum with an Afro-centered approach; 2) articulates and makes available international Afro-Brazilian referenceshard-to-reach diasporic; 3) offers guidance for the elaboration of an afrocentered project; 4) values the exchange of experiences between participants; 5) and has the participation of elders of Afro-Brazilian culture. There are pedagogical, social and therapeutic benefits for clients: 1) access to powerful knowledge to overcome racialized relationships; 2) find a welcoming environment to exchange experiences and critical reflections that strengthen their social identities and professionals; 3) people are encouraged to reflect on their daily life and professional practice with a view to proposing a project for change in an anti-racist sense; 4) has the opportunity to learn about Afro-Brazilian history and culture by interacting with elders.
