Abstract

The book "#MemóriasCovid19: Glances on the Pandemic" reflects on the real-time memorial challenge carried out by the #MemóriasCovid19 Project, which, between 2020 and 2023, constituted a collaborative digital archive of memories of the Covid-19 Pandemic, resulting in a rich and diverse collection of around 300 memories in various formats (digital images, illustrations, videos, texts, poems, etc.). Throughout the first three years of the pandemic, the #MemóriasCovid19 Platform collected experiences from human groups from various social backgrounds, who had to adapt to the changes brought on by Covid-19. The archive captures these experiences and allows for significant connections to be made in terms of identity, both in the Brazilian context and in other countries. Through a selection of images, texts, and essays written by the project's curators, the book expands the experience of the Platform and contributes to a reflection on curatorial practices, memory, and archiving processes in the contemporary world.
