Development of fast and efficient system for the production of active botanicals

Abstract

The technology for the production of botanical actives under development at Natcrom uses a fast and efficient process for the extraction-separation of natural products through the fusion of advanced extraction and chromatography techniques. Natcrom's proposal in this project is the scaling up of the technology for extraction and purification on a preparative scale of botanical actives from agribusiness by-products using principles of green chemistry and circular economy. The system under development will be evaluated in partnership with companies producing vegetable inputs, fruit processing and fatty acid production. Thus, Natcrom's proposal is to offer the vegetable input production industries fast technologies to accelerate the production process of high purity botanical actives, at the same time supplying the vegetable input market with botanical actives that can be used in dermocosmetics lines., foods and/or phytomedicines with recognized biological activity. Our proposal is aligned with brands that seek to guarantee product quality and environmental responsibility. These factors generate security for the consumer, who starts to indicate the brand not only for the quality, but also for the good practices of respect for the environment. (AU)
