Abstract

The technological solution of this proposal is to increase the supply of quality raw material for use in the food, cosmetic and or herbal medicine sector from the native Brazilian plant, ora-pro-nobis (OPN). Our technological differential is the use of a green extraction methodology, microwave-assisted extraction, which allows the use of non-polluting solvents, with less time, solvent volume and extraction temperatures, resulting in a more efficient, economical methodology and with less residual volume, when compared to the techniques most used by companies supplying dry extracts, such as maceration and percolation.
