Abstract

The University of Mogi das Cruzes, through its Research and Service Centers, has adequate physical facilities and equipment to enable its researchers to continue their projects. Maintenance of the equipment and support for research activities to generate both technical and scientific products has been achieved thanks to new funding and the FAPESP Institutional Research Technical Reserve line. The application of the funds earmarked for the Institutional Technical Reserve aims to guarantee adequate conditions for researchers, taking into account the priority needs of the projects that gave rise to the funds. In this sense, the 2023 budget will address three specific issues: (i) the needs of the UMC vivarium, in order to meet the demands for animals in a given line of research at the institution; (ii) maintenance/acquisition of equipment and (iii) acquisition of consumables to support the use of multi-user equipment that is shared by researchers from the various UMC Research Centers.
