Abstract

Dr Jenifer Carvalho Lopes Dantas has collaboration projetcs underway in the SPF herbarium from IBUSP, where she helped to build the rich collection of Vellozia (Velloziaceae). In the next visit, her research goals are: (i) a synopses for the genus Vellozia, which was carried out by the deceased Prof. Renato de Mello-Silva in the SPF; (ii) a new infrageneric clasification based on the phylogenomic reconstruction of the genus. Hence, the study of the collection of Vellozia at SPF will play a major role during the development of the project and will allow production of several articles, improvement of the herbarium collections with nomenclatural types and accurate determinations, also contributing to the associate Temathic Project. Dr Jenifer will also cooperate to finalization of the masters dissertation by Renato Magri at IBUSP, whose supervison she cooperates with. (AU)
