Abstract

This is a funding request for the visit of Prof. Maria Luisa SP Jorge (Vanderbilt University) to Prof. Mauro Galetti's research group (LABIC-UNESP-Rio Claro). This visit is part of the collaboration between Prof. Jorge and Prof. Galetti in the FAPESP Project "Center for Research on Biodiversity Dynamics and Climate Change - BioGATe" (FAPESP n. 2021/10639-5 - 05/01/2023 to 04/30/2028). The visit will occur between May and July 2024. During her visit, Prof. Jorge will participate in and discuss several research projects from Prof. Galetti's students. Furthermore, Prof. Jorge will lead a field trip to the Pantanal to set up and collect data of a long-term herbivore exclusion experiment, with the participation of three of Prof. Galetti's graduate students. Finally, Prof. Jorge will give a guest lecture to the graduate course "Population Ecology" led by UNESP Prof. Thaise Emilio. (AU)
