Abstract

The visit aims to assist in the development, assembly and first tests of a new lidar remote sensing system, which is in the final assembly phase, for the measurement with eight different wavelength channels, with the ability to monitor in real time and with high spatial resolution the signal of particulate matter, methane gas (CH4), and CO2. This new lidar system is already in the laboratory, requiring only the assembly of its signal emission components (laser) and optical systems.The visit of Dr. Mikhail Korenskiy will enable the coordination of the start-up activities of the new system, consisting of the alignment of the telescope and signal detection box for the eight channels, and the fast signal acquisition system. During his stay at the University of São Paulo-USP, the visiting researcher will be of paramount importance in assisting in the assembly, alignment and calibration of the measurement signal in the atmosphere, given all his experience in developing similar remote sensing systems.
