Abstract

The Pilot Project now proposed is allocated in two strategic research axes: 1. The Teaching and Learning Process in Public Basic Education; 2. Training and Development of Teachers in Public Basic Education. It focuses on the 4th and 5th year of the Early Years of Elementary School. The Project will be coordinated by researcher Prof. Dra. Edda Curi and Profa. Dr. Priscila Bernardo Martins and Prof. Dr. Suzete de Souza Borelli, who act as professors at the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programs at Cruzeiro do Sul University. It aims to answer the research question: What knowledge do professors produce and mobilize when analyzing items and assessment results? Diagnoses related to the Teaching of Rational Numbers and to what extent can this knowledge influence the improvement of your practice and your students' learning? This Project has the general objective of investigating whether and how teachers use data from diagnostic assessments offered by Prova Paulista within the scope of the State Department of Education of São Paulo, aiming at improving the learning of 5th grade students and their assessment indicators. For this purpose, a qualitative approach of a practical typology is used, in which data triangulation and the Lesson Study training methodology will be used. It is also expected that this pilot project will produce new knowledge, based on the teachers' narratives in their reports, as these allow the teacher to reflect on the practice in greater depth than the simple oral observation. By registering about the development of planned activities, their practices, the difficulties and advances of their students regarding the Teaching of Rational Numbers, the teacher builds an experience of organized reflection, producing, for himself, a new, more in-depth knowledge about his development teachers their beliefs, about what they know and what they don't know about this subject of Mathematics and its teaching. The socialization of these records in the group allows for a collective and collaborative reflection on the development of the teacher's own work and the group to which he belongs. This new knowledge can be shared with other groups in the school itself and in the Board of Education, strengthening the staff of these institutions. (AU)
