Abstract

This project aims to develop an innovative solution for integrating intensive aquaculture and fertigation of forage crops, utilizing recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) and advanced technologies such as IoT sensors and computational modeling. The proposal seeks to optimize the use of effluents generated in aquaculture by transforming them into efficient liquid fertilizers for agricultural crops, contributing to sustainability and the circular economy. The modeling of nutrient flows and the creation of optimized protocols will be evaluated in technical, economic, and environmental terms, with experiments conducted in partnership with the Instituto de Zootecnia (IZ). Expected outcomes include the reduction of chemical fertilizer use, increased efficiency in water resource management, and the promotion of more sustainable agricultural practices. The project has the potential to generate scalable solutions for small and medium-sized producers, enhancing AQUi9's competitive position in the aquaculture and agribusiness markets. (AU)
