Abstract

The general objective of the Visiting Professor activity plan is to update the conceptual and methodological frameworks to strengthen the capacities and positive impacts of LabGEICT research and its thematic projects in the theorization and analysis of science and technology governance, with a focus on the science/policy interface for an approach to complex public problems (climate change, public health, Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies). The plan of activities is organized around a central axis with a focus on strengthening research capacities by providing a common conceptual-methodological framework. This axis includes activities for monitoring fieldwork and generating and analyzing data, supporting the improvement of production through co-writing and public science laboratories for research results (reports and policy briefs), and generating activities for visibility and international cooperation. At the same time, a second axis of parallel activities is proposed, articulated in postgraduate training activities (doctoral and master's courses), public lectures and training activities extended to the UNICAMP community. The expected benefits include advice for 5 FAPESP thematic projects and subprojects, 5 doctoral theses and 2 graduate courses at DPCT-IG Unicamp, publishing results (preparation for publication of 1 article per project, 1 book and/or special issue) and networking activities (1 international thematic workshop).
