Abstract

Photometric telescopes capture images of large areas of the sky, containing thousands of astronomical objects. One of the important and still very challenging tasks in processing these images is classifying objects according to their nature. This project aims to develop deep learning-based approaches for object recognition in these images, in collaboration with astronomy researchers. It is expected that greater agility and accuracy in object detection will positively impact scientific advancement in astrophysics. (AU)
