Abstract

The purpose of the project is to join electric system prediction models and computational intelligence researchers to develop new approaches and to improve current methods to predict streamflow, load and electricity market. Streamflow, load and electricity market are key variables to plan and to effectively operate power and energy systems. In addition to classical statistical and stochastic methods, the project aims to develop approaches based on fuzzy systems, neural networks, clustering, pattern recognition and hibridizations to achieve more reliable and precise estimates for short, medium and long-range values of streamflows, loads and electricity market.
