Abstract

The main purpose of this project is to characterize the specific Brazilian patterns that may influence productive processes and management of any type of organizations operating in brazil. We are interested in distinguishing the construction of identities and differences among the public, private and multinational organizations that operate in the Brazilian setting. This is essentially a comparative and interdisciplinary project that combines anthropology, economics, linguistics, computation sciences and theory of organizations. It employs quantitative and qualitative methods to examine significant behavioral patterns in an empirical universe made up of at least six different organizations among private, public and multinationals. Overall, we aim at producing theoretical and applied knowledge to enable a better understanding of the roles and trends of enterprising activities in brazil. Towards his end, we emphasize the links between enterprises and the university, particularly in realm of the social sciences. Furthermore, with the purpose of providing research training and a better understanding of the ongoing global processes, the project favors students as research assistants. (AU)
