Abstract

Green manure and utilization of crop residues are agricultural management practices of primordial interest for maintaining the productivity, aiming to sustainability of agricultural system and environmental conservation. Using isotopic technique (labeling the green manures and crop residues with isotopes, e.g., 15N, 35S, 32P), the objectives of this project are: a) evaluate the potential of green manures as nutrient sources for subsequent crops; b) the utilization of nutrients from crop residues by subsequent crops; c) the dinamics of nutrients of green manure and crop residues in the soil after incorporation.
