Porous materials: preparation, properties and applications

Abstract

The aim of this project is the investigation of the preparation process of porous materials with special interest on: a) dispersed metal oxides and b) microporous and mesopourous crystalline solids, and characterizing them by several analysis techniques as well the application of these materials for the development of recognition devices, like chemical sensors and reactors. The optimization of the preparation process of this material will look for higher adsorption capacity and selectivity. In this sense, the interaction between different researchers with the same objective to reach the consolidation of the knowledge for material preparation and characterization will be prioritizes. The possibility to form experts on basic and applied aspects with a multidisciplinary view in material preparations and applications in sensors and chemical reactors will be emphasized. (AU)
