Dynamics in Dumbbell domains: continuity of attractors

Abstract

Our aim in this research project is to give continuity to the study of the dynamics in dumbbell domains, particularly our interest is the study of teh continuity of the attractors, which was iniatiated during my doctorate. Our focus is the study of a parabolic problem with Nuemann bounary conditions in dumbbell-type domains Ω_ε consisting of two disconnected domains, that we will denote by Ω, joined by a thin channel, R_ε, which degenerates to a line segment as the parameter ε approaches to zero. Also we are interested in existence, uniqueness, continuation and continuous dependence of solution to limit problem (ε->0) with relation to the inital data using semigroups integrated theory. (AU)
