Influence of different abutments and aesthetics materials in retention screw preload maintenance of implant-supported crowns

Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of different veneeringl materials and abutments in the retention screw preload maintenance of implant-supported crowns after retightening and fatigue resistance test. Sixty single crowns will be fabricated according to the experimental groups characteristics (n=12). Metal-ceramic crowns on plastic UCLA abutments (Group I) and on gold UCLA abutments (Group II) will be fabricated . Single crowns with metal and ceromer on plastic UCLA abutments (Group III) and on gold UCLA abutments (Group IV) will be fabricated too. In group V, all-ceramic crowns will be fabricated on abutments obtained trough Procera system. All the crowns will be connected to implants with gold squared retention screws torqued to 30Ncm and submitted to fatigue resistance test. The machine will be paused at each 100.000 cycles to measure the preload and to retighten the retention screw until complete 1.000.000 cycles. Each experimental group will have a control group represented by a preload measurement before the fatigue test at each crown. Data will be submitted to statistic analyses after the experimental phase. (AU)
